I love baking. I also have this thing for muffins. I decided that in March I would start a new feature here called Muffin Monday. Every Monday in March I am going to post a different muffin recipe.
Some of these recipes I have no clue where I got them from because I have had them so long. Today is one of them.
This is just a plain, old, simple, muffin recipe. No fancy ingredients. No fancy way of putting it together. Super simple. If you are trying to teach a young child how to make something this would be a great recipe to start them off with.
Chocolate Chip Muffins
|1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour||1 cup milk|
|1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder||1 egg|
|1/2 cup white sugar||1/3 cup butter, melted|
|1/2 teaspoon salt||1 cup semisweet chocolate chips|
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease or line 12 muffin cups.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Stir in the milk, egg, butter and chocolate chips. Pour batter into prepared muffin cups.
Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin, comes out clean.
